Vintage white opaline glass pendant light with brown decor, signed Vianne
This lamp is produced by the renowned French glassworks La Verrerie de Vianne.
The factory was established in 1928 by artisan glassblowers near Bordeaux, France.
Although they produced various types of glassware, Vianne became world-famous for its high-quality glass lampshades. They were known for their rich palette of colors and patterns, as well as their use of traditional mouth-blowing techniques.
The company faced repeated financial difficulties starting in the 1980s and finally closed its doors in 2006. At that time, Vianne was one of the last major artisan glassworks in France.
